The position includes end-to-end responsibility for SharePoint solution design, task area updates, training, installation, user interface development, custom solutions, and customer support. The individual will work closely with project leadership, technical teams, and government stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective, scalable technical solutions.

Essential Functions

• Design, configure, and maintain SharePoint Online sites, lists, libraries, content types, site columns, views, and modern pages to support business processes, knowledge management, and collaboration requirements.

• Administer and manage SharePoint Online permissions at the site, library, and item level, enforcing least-privilege access and aligning with Department of Defense security and data classification requirements, including FOUO and CUI.

• Develop SharePoint Online solutions using out-of-the-box capabilities, JSON formatting, and Microsoft Power Platform tools to streamline business workflows and improve user experience.

• Create logical, user-friendly dashboards and pages in SharePoint Online and integrate them with Power Platform and Power BI solutions as required.

• Build, optimize, and support Power Automate cloud flows to automate routine business processes such as notifications, approvals, task routing, and data synchronization across SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and other approved Microsoft 365 services.

• Design, develop, and maintain Power Apps canvas applications ranging from simple forms to small- and medium-complexity business applications using SharePoint Online and other approved data sources.

• Design, develop, and maintain business-focused Power BI reports and dashboards using SharePoint Online, Excel, and other approved data sources, including basic to intermediate data modeling and DAX calculations.

• Integrate Power BI reports and dashboards into SharePoint Online modern pages and Microsoft Teams to deliver intuitive, self-service analytics while managing access in accordance with data sensitivity and security requirements.

• Utilize REST APIs and other approved integration methods, primarily through Power Automate and Power Apps, to interact with external or auxiliary data sources as needed.

• Apply working knowledge of modern web technologies such as JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS to implement moderate customizations or enhancements when out-of-the-box capabilities are insufficient and within platform and security constraints.

• Participate in requirements discussions with senior team members, project managers, and business stakeholders to understand mission needs and translate them into SharePoint structures, workflows, applications, and reporting solutions.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams and customers throughout the solution lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, testing, deployment, and documentation.

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, functional designs, data models, workflow diagrams, and clear, maintainable documentation.

• Develop intuitive, user-friendly interfaces that improve productivity and support mission objectives.

• Provide user-facing support including demonstrations, training sessions, and one-on-one assistance for SharePoint sites, Power Automate flows, Power Apps, and Power BI reports.

• Stay current with advancements in SharePoint Online, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI, maintaining awareness of modern SharePoint development patterns, including SharePoint Framework, recognizing that SharePoint Framework solutions are not currently deployed in this environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Demonstrated expertise developing and configuring solutions within the SharePoint Online Modern experience.

• Strong ability to design responsive, intuitive, and user-friendly interfaces and supporting documentation.

• Strong communicator with proven ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders.

• Experience designing and maintaining Power Apps canvas applications to support business workflows and data collection.

• Experience designing, building, and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards connected to SharePoint Online, Excel, and other approved data sources.

• Experience integrating SharePoint and Power Platform solutions with third-party APIs or REST endpoints through low-code connectors and configuration, where permitted.

• Knowledge of SharePoint governance, security protocols, data classification, and best practices in a Department of Defense environment.

• Experience working in agile or iterative development environments.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and solution improvement.

• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and support multiple projects or workstreams concurrently.

• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering reliable, user-focused solutions.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
